Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Simple Document Reader by SJTR (Android package: com.khero.pdfreader). Last updated: October 13, 2026. The purchase section applies to versions with Pro purchases; the advertising sections apply to versions with home or document-reader banners or optional rewarded ads. The home banner is available in version 1.0.10 and later. Purchase availability depends on the product status shown by Google Play.

Documents and on-device storage

The app processes the PDF, Hangul, Office and TXT documents you select on your device. Document contents, file names, document addresses and notes are not sent to the developer's servers or included in advertising requests. Recent documents, favorites, notes, reading settings and reward credits are stored on your device. When you choose to share, the selected file is passed to the external app you choose, and that service's policies apply. Notes, reading history and some other app data may be backed up depending on Android and your device's backup settings, but restoration is not guaranteed. Original documents are not included in the app backup and may need to be selected again on a new device.

Rewarded-ad credits and pending credit reservations belong to the current app installation and are excluded from Android cloud backups and device-to-device transfers. Existing credits are therefore not restored from a backup or transferred to a new device, and clearing app data or uninstalling the app also removes them. The one-time Pro purchase is separate from reward credits and is verified through Google Play purchase restoration.

Optional advertising and consent

The free version may show one adaptive banner at the bottom of the home screen and supported document readers, including fullscreen and hidden-control views, and users can choose to watch a rewarded ad to earn a credit for PDF tool exports. No age selection is required. Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) automatically checks whether consent is required, and ads are requested only when UMP allows them. Ads use Google AdMob and UMP. Advertising services may collect and share IP addresses (to estimate approximate location), ad and app interactions, diagnostic information, and device identifiers such as the app set ID for ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Advertising SDK data is encrypted in transit. All ad requests receive child-directed treatment (TFCD), which restricts transmission of the Android advertising ID. No banners are shown during search, dialogs, keyboard entry, or on an empty home screen.

A consent message is shown where applicable. You can reopen the relevant privacy choices from the home menu's ads and privacy settings. Basic document reading remains available if you do not choose ads or do not consent. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Optional Pro purchase

You can buy a one-time Pro product through Google Play for unlimited PDF tools without ad requests. A verified Pro purchase disables requests for home and document-reader banners and rewarded ads. Google Play processes payment and card information; the developer does not receive card details. To verify entitlement, the app receives the product ID, purchase token and signed purchase record from Google Play and stores the signed record in on-device storage excluded from backups for offline restoration. The record and your document contents are not sent to the developer's servers. You can start purchase restoration from the home menu and manage purchases and refunds in your Google Play account. Reading and notes remain free without a purchase, and optional rewarded-ad credits remain available for PDF output.

General-audience ads and protections

The app no longer asks for or saves an age range or date of birth. All home-banner, document-reader-banner and rewarded-ad requests use the G content rating, non-personalized ads and child-directed treatment. These are protective settings for ad requests, not a determination of your actual age. A minor age range previously saved on this device is read only to retain UMP protection for a known minor; the age range itself is not transmitted. Users of unknown age are not declared to be minors to bypass consent forms. A consent message appears automatically only where required. Basic document reading remains available regardless of consent.

Optional Google Play reviews

Version 1.0.21 and later may request a Google Play review after sufficient reading experience. Only successful reading counts, reading dates and the last request time are stored on your device to limit request frequency. This record contains no document names, addresses or contents and is not sent to developer servers. Google Play may choose not to show a review card. Ratings and review text you choose to submit go directly to Google Play under its terms and privacy policy. The app does not receive your rating or whether you submitted a review.

Retention, deletion and contact

You can delete locally stored app data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. Original and exported documents saved or shared separately, and operating system backups, must be managed separately. Use your Google account and privacy settings to manage or request deletion of data processed by Google. Information you email to support is used to respond to your inquiry. You do not need to attach original documents or sensitive information to contact us.
