Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Simple Document Reader by SJTR (Android package: com.khero.pdfreader). Last updated: September 18, 2026. The advertising sections apply to versions that include optional rewarded ads.

Documents and on-device storage

The app processes the PDF, Hangul and Office documents you select on your device. Document contents, file names, document addresses and notes are not sent to the developer's servers or included in advertising requests. Recent documents, favorites, notes, reading settings and reward credits are stored on your device. When you choose to share, the selected file is passed to the external app you choose, and that service's policies apply. Some app data may be backed up depending on Android and your device's backup settings.

Optional advertising and consent

Free users can choose to watch an ad to earn a credit for PDF tool exports. Ads use Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Advertising services may collect and share IP addresses (to estimate approximate location), ad and app interactions, diagnostic information, and device identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID for ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Advertising SDK data is encrypted in transit. The app does not display forced ads while you read documents.

A consent message is shown where applicable. You can reopen the relevant privacy choices from the PDF export options screen. Basic document reading remains available if you do not choose ads or do not consent. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Age ranges and advertising protections

Before using ads, you select an age range: under 13, 13–17, or 18 and older. We do not collect your date of birth. Your choice is stored in an area excluded from device backups. No ad consent requests or ad requests are made when no age range is selected or when the selected age is under 13. For ages 13–17, the app applies Google's under-age-of-consent protection tags and non-personalized ad settings. Ad content is restricted to a general-audience rating. You can change or clear the age selection from the PDF export options screen. Reading documents does not require an age selection.

Google Play payments

When Pro purchases are offered, payments are processed by Google Play. The app processes product information and purchase receipts to check and restore access, and stores verified receipts on the device in an area excluded from backups. The developer does not collect card numbers or bank account details in the app. Google's policies apply to its payment processing.

Retention, deletion and contact

You can delete locally stored app data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. Original and exported documents saved or shared separately, and operating system backups, must be managed separately. Use your Google account and privacy settings to manage or request deletion of data processed by Google. Information you email to support is used to respond to your inquiry. You do not need to attach original documents or sensitive information to contact us.
